A lot more goes into a QB's success than ability, and intangibles, processing ability, work ethic, and smarts are all a big part of that. But if all that's to a QB are physical gifts, count me out.

Side note: Both Stroud and Mahomes have top tier intangibles in addition to their physical gifts
Denver has had one bad run-in with an elite talent ala PL. They've had several bad run-ins with guys who had almost not talent, ala Keenum and Simian, arguably a post-injury Bridgewater.

They've had one bad run-in with a good talent, and this one also lacked intangibles: Drew Lock.

Personally I think mental aptitude is a talent. It's just harder to measure processing speed and reading a defense pre-and-post-snap. But it's not a crazy take because we recognize mental talent in other fields.

If I have to pick one it's talent because if you have no talent you can't do anything meaningful as a QB. But if a guy has low intangibles he's probably a Jay Cutler. That ain't it, either.

Jay Cutler discovered he had developed Diabetes after he entered the pros. The Broncos didn't know this going in and Cutler didn't know either. Amazing how peeps never gave him any breaks or cared to learn about what the kid was going through. McDanilels was an immature A-hole who couldn't deal with anything let alone something like this.

I loved Jay. He appealed to the inner bad guy in me. I liked that everybody hated our QB and talked shit about him and he just didn't give a **** about it. He was like our very own living breathing Kelly Leak. Cigarettes and rocket arm included.

McD sucked, sucks and will continue to suck giant bags of......

Me too. His no S****-given didn't bother me. I've coached some youth travel ball teams full of KL's (props for the BNB reference!!!). The Girls Softballers are even funnier than the boys. Where most coaches are red faced and cursing ...I'm laughing my ass off. I guess you just have to have a certain personality for it. hehe

If he steers the ship for a few years as we build around him then we recognize some blue chip studd in the draft we'll be in the position to trade some capital and go up and get him. That's the floor with him IMHO. He can at least be that for us and I'm pumped if even that is the outcome. If looked at the right way the Bo believers like me can be happy but so can the build now gets a QB later sect.
Just give it a chance, either way our team got better this weekend.
Bronco fans need to watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm8LwXAxwqA

Bucket Man also has a good video about Jonah Elliss. Jonah is another undersized edge rusher that the Elway sandbox has been obsessed with since around 2017.

This ownership group needs to get rid of Elway's FO (including his nephew, Pat Walsh, the pro scout), but they wont, and this team continues to suffer.

Yet PL gets drafted 1st round every single time.

Thank you for the 1 millionth “It factor” lecture I’ve had regurgitated all over me.

Talent over intangibles, trust the science.

I like how y’all spew that bullshit lecture like you’re some kind of Tony Robbins life guru, ******* save it, that dead horse cliche has never been less true than in 2024.

Ya think the Packers/Jets tolerate Karen Rodgers insane bullshit because of his intangibles?

    You’re dumb if you do.

Who gives a shit? Diabetes? My mom's diabetic and lives off a meager pension because the government screwed her over. Diabetes when you have the best healthcare in the world and access to the best foods? Are you kidding me? You thought that was a great counter-argument? That counter argument was shit. ABSOLUTE SHIT! His shitty head coach traded him and sent him to a fanbase so starved for QB play that they'd have taken anything, and he even alienated them.

You just made one of the worst posts of all-time. Quite frankly I think you should be sentenced to a lengthy stay in Siberia.
