Default Why the broncos should not draft Bo Nix

They shouldn't draft him because there have been zero quarterbacks in NFL history with 1 syllable in both their first and last names to win the super bowl*
*I don't know if this is actually true or not, but it sounds right.

There have been several, but I agree. Dude has five total letters in his name, he sounds like a simpleton. Great thread, sneaks.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

If Elway would’ve listened to Sneak, we would’ve drafted Russ to succeed Payton instead of waiting until he was washed up before signing him to a FA deal that was way more than he was worth at the point in his career.

I don't follow. That was the year we drafted Osweasel, right?

Also, FTR. Brett Favre, Steve Young, Nick Foles, just off the top of my head.

Extra letter aside, you think he could throw the ball over them mountains?

Yes, instead of taking Russ, like Sneak insisted we needed to do, we took Osweiler in the 2nd round. Russ didn't get drafted until the 3rd.

I wouldn't include Young on a list of QBs we passed on as, not only had we signed Elway the year before he came out of college, but he had already signed with the USFL. The NFL did hold a supplemental draft for the players who chose the other league in case these players became available, with is exactly what happened after the USFL's 1985 season. By that time, we were happy with Elway and had no interest in bringing in someone who would want to challenge him for the starting position.

Bo Nix is a badass name. His wife's name is Izzy. Bo and Izzy Nix is actually pretty rad. Don't deny it you jealous sumbitches. They have a lot of pressure on them when they have kids though, because Bo and Izzy Nix can't have a little Stewart Nix or some shit like that. They gotta come up with something cool.

You negative Nancy's aren't going to harsh my buzz on Bo.

Go watch his Auburn game film. If that doesn’t harsh your mellow, then your crush is unbreakable.

I've watched it. A lot of yuck. Also, terrible coaching and a different OC every year. People grow. People get better. Even at his time at Auburn he never threw more than 7 INTs. And do you know who the DC at Georgia was at the time? It was Dan Lanning, the now HC of Oregon and guess who he picked to be his first QB as HC, Bo Nix.

Nobody mentions Jayden Daniels time in ASU with seasons sub 60% comp and a season of 10 TDs and 10 INTs. Or the fact that Penix threw more INTs last season than Bo has in any of his college seasons, even the world ending disastrous seasons in the SEC

Two of Penix's seasons at Indiana ended with him completing under 60% of his passes. Closer to 55% in both of those seasons. Nobody says a peep about that. They bring up the injuries but not the poor play. Bo had a better season as a true freshman in the SEC than any season Penix has in the big ten all the way into his Junior season. No one talks about that.

We need more swagger like this up in this piece. Well done Kris.
