PS2 is the only asset that can get the Broncos the QB prospect they (and every other team in the NFL) need. They’re not getting closer in ‘25 and Brock Purdy is a dream (and a dumb one).

    Hope is not a strategy.
Which top 3 team is trading back and would benefit from having PS2 for 2 years or thinks they could sign PS2 to an extension? Washington and New England have new coaches so no pressure to win now. Chicago is staying at 1.

This mythical trade scenario for a QB doesn't exist. Williams, Daniels, Maye will all be gone and McCarthy will be gone soon at 11. Though I'm half expecting the Patriots to take Marvin Harrison Jr. at 3 and one of Maye or Daniels to fall to 6 or 7.

This mythical trade will never exist . . . apparently.

This is why the Broncos have one of the worst QB traditions in the history of the NFL, they don’t even try and they value CB over QB. They’re stupid and arrogant.

And don’t even start with fans; the Broncos finally draft and developed a FQB and all fans can talk about is Haloti Ngata.

Arizona might like PS2. They obviously aren’t in the mix for a QB with both Murray and now having traded for Ridder. I’m sure they have designs on Marvin Harrison Jr at 4, but this draft is loaded with stud WRs and they could get one at 12 easily. If they’d give up #4 overall for PS2, that would guarantee a top 4 QB for us and an all-pro CB and top WR for them.

Don’t start counting chickens before they’re hatched, either. There are no guarantees that the supposed top 3 QBs go top 3. McCarthy, who I’d guess is a guy Payton would want, is flying up the board right now. Drake Maye is no longer consensus top 3. If we got to 4 and the Pats took McCarthy over Maye at 3, I’d cry all the way to the bank by getting this draft’s version of Josh Allen without the accuracy issues. That’s why I wanna get to 4-6, because if Maye falls, I want him.

Don’t see the point in starting a new thread for another stiff ILB.

Meh, he’s another STer who likely won’t play unless Griffith (which is likely) or Singletary get hurt. I was hoping we’d take a flyer on Devin White. He was so good early on then his performance started slipping.

Rosenrosen signed him in Philly, he’s still good in coverage (according to Walter Football).

And edge. Dog brought up such a great point last night, I know right, Dogfish with a good point,(I'm teasing dog has the best football takes terrible music taste though). Dog pointed out that this stupid franchise has been trying to build a team from the outside in. Look at all the pass catchers, and I would argue CBs also, that we draft while completely ignoring OL, edge and QB. We never invest premium picks on the cornerstone building blocks of a team.

You build a team from the QB out. The three most important spots to have blue chip talent at is QB, LT and Edge.

This is why if we draft a WR or a CB I am going to lose my mind. Who thinks you should draft 2 blue chip CBs when you have a gaggle of #3 and #4 pass rushers. It might be one thing if there was no edge talent available but in this draft there will be an edge at 12, so if we fo CB at 12 we will know this team has learned nothing.

Weird how so many NFL players have hot wives. Do women really actually like big buff dudes who make millions of dollars a year? I mean really? Women are so dumb.

I love this, so simple and powerful.

How does a team win at football, all else equal? Get the best live-action brain (QB) with the most athletic talent, give him time (LT) to solve a problem and do some talent shit--and deny the opponent the same (EDGE).

Oh and dog's music taste > yours...sorry not sorry.

So much intellect and insight then you just throw it all away with your final statement. Now I must assume that you are an amazing lawyer who almost always blows it in your closing argument.
