Don't love this signing. We already have 2 capable players on the back end with Sterns and Locke. Not sure he's better than either of them. Seems like we should have allocated the money to positions of bigger needs

It's okay. I'm guessing they couldn't clear the whole $85 million this year without cutting or extending Bolles, and the new deal the Buffalo LT got just messed that up. The hit will be $49 million next offseason to go with Russ's salary (minus the vet minimum) this season. It will be important to roll over cap.
