It isn't reversed. It is $53 million this year because they had an option to pay part of Ru$$'s salary as a bonus or as salary. They chose to pay it as salary, so they are able to take on more of the hit this year.

Having "viable" on the roster, and not being in draft-capital or salary-cap debt is the way forward.

I’ve got to believe that this is the year to draft our QBOTF. I haven’t seen a QB class this strong in I don’t know how long. Granted, it probably means 3/4 of them will suck like the Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen/Allen class, but we finally have a coaching staff that I think can develop a guy like McCarthy or Nix or Penix (assuming we don’t swing for the fences with a top 3 guy) into our long term solution at the position. I just can’t struggle through another wasted season with Case Keesum or Flunco or Bitchwater or any other fill in (not named Stidham because he’s already here and is a 3+ year vet if Payton doesn’t think the rookie is ready) with any expectations. The insanity of trying the same stupid other people’s trash will be the Broncos treasure has to stop. I (and I think most of the fanbase) just can’t take it anymore. We need to get excited about the future by securing that future. People know it’ll take time, but if you never even start the rebuild with a FQB, you’ll never actually rebuild.

That's cool. I'll just come out of retirement like Tyson every now and then for the goat reminders.

Your mythos is better than your actual career, much like Tyson.

I hope you get paid like Tyson, though.
