    Default Broncos remaining games

How do you think they will do in the next 7 games?

    Browns, home, November 26
    Texas, away, December 3
    Chargers, away, December 10
    Lions, away, December 17
    Patriots, home, December 24
    Chargers, home , December 31
    Raiders, away, January 7

Is 4 wins too much to ask? Or do you think they can win 5 or 6?
Just for the record I hate hate that they added a 17th game to the season. 16 is a nice number that's divisible by 2, 4, and 8, and 17 is a prime number.

Our ceiling is 9 wins with this play calling and offense, and that's if we stay healthy.

We'll see if the offense can progress any further down the stretch, but I think ten wins isn't out of the question, and that would likely earn a wildcard. Not predicting it, but IMO it's certainly feasible.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I'll take the under on 10 wins. I've loved how we've gutted out some close, tough wins, and maybe we get some more, but these wins have been a penalty here, or turnover there from being losses. We're surviving on the thinnest of margins.

Still, they're moving in the right direction, and Payton is developing a foundation to build off of. Less than 10 wins is okay as we're building.

Broncos can clinch AFC West Title if...

    *Broncos beat the Chargers twice
*We need the Chargers to beat the Chiefs.
    *Broncos beat the Raiders
    *Of course, win all games

I’d hope for 4 more… but looking at the teams remaining schedule it’s not easy to get those…

Cleveland - fierce D. Wilson doesn’t do well with pressure. We have no answer for Garrett
Chargers x2 - which version shows up? They are imploding, but it’s a divisional game, and they can score points
Detroit - this team might revert our D to the Miami game level.. they can run and throw, and play good D.
Raiders - divisional game, they are responding to the new head coach..this could be one of the wins
Texans - that rookie needs to come back to earth, not an easy out as teams are learning
Patriots - although we are past the Brady era, this one I think we got, and it’s still nice to beat them. They are a mess.

I hate to say this... Broncos are cursed when Raiders get a new head coach. Every time, the Raiders get a new head coach... Broncos lost.
On the bright side, HC Sean Payton broke KC's and Buffalo's winning streak. Will Sean Payton beat the Raiders with a new HC and break this curse at this time?

i see it playing out this way.

    Browns, home, November 2 (Win)
    Texas, away, December 3 (Loss)
    Chargers, away, December 10 (Win)
    Lions, away, December 17 (Loss)
    Patriots, home, December 24 (Win)
Chargers, home , December 31 (Win)
    Raiders, away, January 7 (Win)

Gives us a 10-7 record so as long as we keep playing the way we do.

Honestly, I don't see a game left on the schedule that the Broncos CAN'T win.And none that they CAN'T lose. We're the personification of a mediocre team but that's better than the bad team we've been the past three years. We've also been fortunate to face some backup QBs along the way.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Mediocre is the worst thing a team can be, it’s not even debatable.

    False.

Mediocre won SB50 and it's not even debatable.

In other words, mediocre until sudden not mediocre, because margins are slim and lady luck is fickle.

Russ and Payton have legit postseason chops. That ain't nothin. Simmons came in 2016.

This is a very nuanced post. Well done.
