Wilson is just not the guy. I don't think trading talent is all that great if you only get late 2nd and 3rd day picks. This team needs talent to overcome weaknesses that we're stuck with due to money. Friggen dumbasses signing him to that extension and giving up firsts for him....
This is true for 25% of the time, which leads the league, somebody did some actually in-depth analysis. This means the other 75% of the time it’s on his OL, 75%.

What Stink is leaving out is this is literally true for some of the best QB’s in the NFL, if not the history of the NFL (Patrick Mahomes). This is not even debatable.

Mahomes seemingly held the ball too long far more often than Wilson did on Sunday, I’d be interested in seeing those stats. Jalen Hurts also holds the ball too long, so this isn’t just a Russell Wilson thing.

You go down with that ship, though.

Is that why JFE couldn’t wait to replace Tebow? Btw, the Broncos finished around 8 to 9 wins that season, iirc, which is the exact same scenario I painted. It’s not sustainable.

I think it’s much more evident that Wilson holds the ball too long because he doesn’t seem to want to force anything or take risks with the football. He eats a ton of sacks instead of throwing risky passes which sucks because it’s a sack but at least he’s not throwing picks which are worse. Unfortunately, some of those sacks have led to fumbles (usually when he’s on the move and trying to scramble away from pressure) which are even worse than picks.

Nobody really knows for sure besides Wilson and Payton why he does what he does. Some say he can’t read the blitz and find the hot route. Some say he’s trying to make a play, always looking for the deep shot, and some say he’s just trying to protect the ball. He’s only thrown 4 picks in 8 games, which is great, but he takes a lot of sacks. I don’t know why he doesn’t just throw the ball away more. Frankly, if he keeps throwing 2-3 TDs a game, I don’t really care how many yards he throws for. Yards are stats for fantasy football. Points are what matters.

Default Broncos defensive leader Justin Simmons gets AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors

After a dominant defensive performance on Sunday against Kansas City, the leader of the Denver Broncos defense has been recognized with a weekly award by the NFL.

Justin Simmons was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. The star safety had a fumble recovery in the first half of the 24-9 victory. He also intercepted Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes with about 5 minutes left.

"It just felt so good to win," Simmons said after the game.

Simmons now has 29 career interceptions, which is tied for the most of any player in the league since the start of the 2016 season.

He is also the first Bronco to ever have multiple interceptions in each of his first 8 seasons.

This is the first time this season any Denver player has been recognized with a player of the week award by the league.

Both the OL and Wilson suck. Better?

Rus is far from the main problem with this team. The OL and defense are 1a and 1b as of now. Yes the Defense has been worlds better the last couple of weeks but I need to see it for longer before I act as though they’re out of the woods. Fingers crossed they can keep playing at the current level. Rus has been pretty darn good IMHO.

Here’s an optimistic video breakdown that shows some spots in which Rus has been pretty good at.
