This is a joke we didn’t even attempt to trade him for anything. We still have no consistent pass rush and I bet the plan is to bring in another WR instead. This GM is a shit show and the coach isn’t doing a lot to instill faith he knows what he is doing either. Let’s just destroy the cap while we are at it too. I guess for the Russ haters they can rest easy knowing he is probably gone at seasons end and we will attempt to develop stidham fml. How are these NFL people so dumb?

They did attempt to trade him. Have you seen his film? Night and day from last year pre-injury. He's total dead weight, zero impact. We have Browning returning off IR - Bonnito took his starting role. I suspect Payton told him he was going to be inactive this week and that unless he did a complete 180 he's got no spot here - and Gregory likely requested his release at that point. Good riddance.

The Broncos released the veteran pass rusher, a source confirmed, after unsuccessfully trying to trade him on Tuesday and telling him Tuesday night he would be cut.

The media coverage of this has been mostly embarrassing... Like half of the Broncos beats have positioned this as a "mutual decision."

Payton said it was not a mutual decision between player and team. “This was something we made and decided,” Payton said. “We just felt like some of our younger players and where we’re going it was best for our team right now.”
