    Of course I'm biased.

Everyone is biased towards players that under performing relative to their contracts like Graham Glasgow, Chase Edmonds, Jacob Martin etc. All the guys that got cut because of their salary/cap numbers.

That lies on the defense and VJ, and the lack of talent on this team which rests with Paton and Payton. Draft a 1st rd Qb sit him behind Wilson for the 2025 as we maybe compete for a wildcard. Hopefully we have a new GM making the calls or at least Payton deciding what Qb he wants lol.
It's pretty simple. It's not about Wilson the player completely, it's more about Wilson's contract.

We're over $15M the cap in '24 so we have to cut/trade players anyway to get under plus $20-$25M space to sign players/extend guys etc. That means guys like Tim Patrick, Bolles, Simmons, or maybe Jeudy. So we're not going to be competing in '24 and spreading Wilson's cap hit with post June designation just makes sense when you to rebuild anyway instead of adding even more guaranteed money when his cap charge becomes $55Million in '25.

I didn’t know that was a thing. I thought teams that scripted plays typically script about 30, but I’m no expert.

The only way I trade Pat Surtain is for the #1 overall pick. He’s worth way more than just a generic first rounder. We can’t trade all our best players (there have to be some young studs to build around - Surtain, JW, Mims). He’s our only true top tier guy. Simmons could go, though.

Ideally, this happens If we can land a QBOTF in Williams or Maye in the draft. I don’t really want to be going forward with Stidham or some other castoff Teddy Bitchwater style “bridge” QB if we cut Russ.

You’re not just “biased” , you’re irrational. Show us how the Broncos can legitimately cut bait with Wilson? They literally can not.

Not really actually. Sure you can say he is overpaid but it makes no sense to take that hit if he is playing like a top 10 or 15 QB which he currently is. What you do is draft his replacement in rd 1 in the 24 draft and don't look back. That player learns behind Wilson for 4 games or 6 games or 8 games or even the year. Then you cut him in 2025 when it makes financial sense. Russ is not the problem in Denver. Even with last year he is the best QB we have had in Denver since Peyton. Russ stays and you draft his replacement in the 2024 draft its literally that simple.....

Exactly! Trading Surtain is stupid he is the best player on the team.

I'm literally fine with Russ this year and next provided we draft a 2024 QB in the first rd. This teams issues are the OL, TE's, WR's, lack of dedication to the run game, our Defense and its coordinator and the GM

Yes, we'll have to draft a QB.

Cutting him in 2025 means you now owe him an additional $37M guaranteed on top of the prorated signing bonus money because of the way his contract is structured.
Cutting him in 2024 mean you don't owe him that $37M, just the prorated signing bonus that can be spread out over two seasons.

Really, it just comes down to whether the owners are going to be willing to pay him that much guaranteed new money.

In this episode Poet, Neko, and I talk about the dismal showing right now with the Denver Broncos. Why are they still losing? And the Steelers are also running into issues especially on offense so what gives? In college football my Virginia Cavaliers are even worse and not looking at getting better but in Colorado the Buffaloes are roaming and bringing excitement back to Boulder.

I really like Wilson. What’s not to like, unless pleasant affable dialogue combined with community service isn’t your thing. That doesn’t change the fact he is playing like a bottom 5 quarterback. He even makes his offensive line look worst than it is because he holds the ball too long and has bad footwork in the pocket. My friend who’s a Seahawks fan said the same thing, Wilson often made their line look worst than it was.
