Well, the Walton’s do invest in cheap Chinese products even the crawfish. This undermines American manufacturing. Perhaps, they do give money back to the community. Jennings, Louisiana hasn’t seen any of that charity other than the mom & pop businesses going out of business due to the presence of Walmart coming to small town Jennings. Just saying.

I have no allegiance to the Walton’s because they bought the Broncos. Pat Bowlen proved himself when he bought the Broncos. Jury is still out on the Walton’s.

You don’t think they’re actually losing money on this deal do you?

The mega TV deals ensure that no team is going to lose money no matter how incompetent their owner and FO is. The insanely overpriced tickets and concessions are probably pretty close to being all profit for the owners.

Depends on your definition of lose. $5 billion invested generates a lot of income. A 5% return would be $250 million a year. Yes, their investment will likely grow, but it will be interesting to see to see if these club prices keep increasing at the rate we've seen of late, but I would say anything less than 300-400 million a year between profit and club value increase, is them losing money.
