That's out of left field.
Wow, I just looked it up and he was 29th in the NFL in FG% last year. I didn't realize he'd gotten that bad. So yeah, this makes more sense now.
I got this guys, no worries. Been on the bench for many years now, time for Anubis to shine.
Important to our SB, I miss Von/McManus shenanigans.
The Gooch, is the Gonech?!?!?!?!?!

Time to dust of Elam...![]()
This is a move you make when you make when you have a chance to get a decent kicker in the draft or FA. Now its nothing but scrubs available....this is a dumb move at this point. I don't have a issue moving on from McManus, but the timing means you now have to bring in guys like Maher for a look who is infamous for shanking 4 extra points in a game.....I'm sorry but just more reason I have little faith in the big picture roster construction ability of Paton and Peyton.
Moving on makes sense, moving on now post draft and FA is just utterly stupid IMO. He was shit from 50 out last year 5 of 13 i think which is why that percentage is low but he was highly effective in 40-49 and 30-39 yd. range. Its not his fault our offense stunk so bad we had to try from 52 plus every drive for a chance at pointsHe also had 2 blocked as well I think. Again i get moving on, but now its just stupid. We now bring in scrubby do guys like Maher cause we need a kicker.
Maybe it was the plan all along to use the June 1st cut for max cap savings but if it was the plan where the f was your replacement plan![]()
Yeah, you can't be getting paid 5 mil, and have an attitude, and be a bottom 5 kicker in the league.
49ers effectively did the same thing with Gould by letting him hit the market. I think the trend in the league will be to leave both Gould and McManus unsigned until after week 1, where their salaries will not be guaranteed. The Broncos drove up the RT market, and now are driving down the kicker market.
