Is the kicker not the top points scorer on the team each year? In a league where so many games are one score games (even in our down years recently we lost a lot of one score games) kickers might not be sexy but valuable AF
See the tebow or the SB50 year when our K added significantly to the W column
exactly McManus ran his mouth a bunch about 50 plus kicks then went 5 of 13. That's a problem but no kicker out there right now was on his level from under 50. We downgraded at kicker period. At this point in the year its a dumb move. Its a great move if you release him in FA and go find a kicker then or draft one or bring in a UDFA. Now its just a stupid move period.
when its Elliot fry as your answer apparently yes a plan would have been nice. 87% from under 50 yds. No one touches that out there that's available and while he was 5 of 13 last year on kicks above 50 3 or maybe it was 4 of them were over 60 yds, cause our offense was so trash.
Thank you Brandon McManus for being a Bronco. I remember when Elam left, individuals focused on the negatives rather than the positives.
Not great so far!
As I expected.....Its pretty telling when Payton says after we already cut fry that Maher is out there competing not just against himself but against the the other guys in the 7 or 8 competitions currently going on in the NFL....Im not shocked by the kicker situation at all....
Hate to say it but i was right.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
He was called McPanis in the tubby household
