Default Looking for guests and topics for my new general topic YouTube channel

Only the next 2 paragraphs are identical to those found in the companion thread, “Looking for guests and topics for my new political YouTube channel.” Everything after them is promoting my ideas for the channel referenced in the tread title.

I started my AutismAmbassadorsUSA YouTube channel 13 years ago in order to educate people about Autism and all related issues. I’ve gotten very little viewership to my niche audience videos, so I’ve decided to try doing videos on topics of broader interests that many members of this community also have. Let me make it clear that I’m not open to changing how I make my Autism videos so I focus so much attention on making them entertaining that I’m not able to say anything that would make a difference in anyone’s life.

What I want to do instead is what a number of YouTubers have done by starting multiple channels that cater to different audiences, then cross promoting them during videos that they make. My 2 favorite history YouTubers, “Mr Terry’s Classroom” and “Vlogging Through History,” were both started by creators whose 1st channels were about video gaming that they both invite their viewers to visit. This is what I’m wanting to do with “TeachersaurusAndFriends” and “Teachersaurus4AllPeople,” “Teachersaurus” being the nickname many of my students refer to as.

“TeachersaurusAndFriends” is going to be a variety channel which, in most part, guest discuss a variety of random topics, just like we do on this message board. Everything from football to movie commentaries and more. I’m willing to discuss most subjects with you, even if I’m not actually knowledgeable about that topic. I have also come up with several regular series which will be presented in separate posts. This will enable those who might be interested in certain projects, but not others, to dialogue with me on just those they are interested in. However, struggle to do such videos without a partner for me to dialog with because its very difficult for me to monolog while staring at a video image of myself. I can also use someone who is good at video editing to at least teach me enough of the basics so I can do this on my own; or commit to editing my videos long term.

Lesser known tourist attractions: The idea of this came to me when I was visiting Heart Mountain WWII Japanese American Confinement Site, near Cody, Wyoming. It’s probably less than 20 miles east of the west entrance into Yellowstone National Park. It is the only such site in the US that was established by its former internees in the 1970s, and is now owned and operated by their descendants. So, the fictional depiction of “War Eagle” in the TV series “Longmire” is complete trash that is the exact opposite of reality. https://www.heartmountain.org/

I’m sure that with the members of this board having lived all a crossed this country, as well as a few other international locations, I’m sure there are a lot of local stories to tell that that the professional tour guides give the tourists. This could even be done in advance of me doing a road trip in which I’d a separate video at each location, but that is a long way down the road before I could afford to do such an adventure. Nevertheless, I’d enjoy making videos of such locations that all of you are aware of near where you have lived at some point in your life, including places that I probably won’t be able to afford to visit anytime in the near future.

The Darwin Brigade: “The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally remove themselves from it in a spectacular manner!” They were given out from 1992-2022. https://darwinawards.com/darwin/

My idea of The Dawin Brigade is that are really stupid things that are done by a lot of people. This includes those who go searching of the legendary “lost Dutchman’s gold” in the Superstition Mountains (outside of Apachie Junction, a suburb of Phoenix, AZ) during the summer without adequate water. Then there are those who think that Yellowstone is some kind of petting zoo and walk right up to the wildlife in order to pet them. Of course, I’m sure there are members of this board who know of other examples of such acts that we can also do videos on.

These videos would be made to make fun of the people who literally die while engaging in such activities, but also to educate the public about how to get the most out of those activities. How close can you get to the wildlife to take your pictures and videos without provoking them, as well as other things that can and can’t be done to get the most out of your visit? How does wildlife differ from animals that you might see at an actual petting zoo or animal rescue? What are the heat precautions that everyone in the Phoenix metro area should take during the extreme heat months (which isn’t limited to the summer months), especially if they are going to be engaging in any kind of outdoor activities?

Not Necessarily the Truth: The name is a play on “Not Necessary the News,” a satire news program that was on HBO briefly in 1980. It was modeled after 60 Minutes, including poking fun at the ticking stopwatch that would be show when going to commercial breaks.

My version would satire the interaction that news anchors have with beat/special assignment reporters. It might be considered semi-adlib as the anchor would only have an opening introduction to the story and a few bullet points of questions to remember to ask, which the reporter would help create in order to best set of the bit. The report would separate notes about the “facts” to be shared that the anchor will be unaware of. This will lead the anchor to spontaneously thinking of more questions to ask, which would require the reporter to come up with spontaneous answers to.

All of the humor will be very tasteful as I’m not one to make deliberately offensive material of any kind. This is especially important to remember as the targets of the first episode that I want to do with be Mahomes, Kelse and their respective love interest. As all of the best satires create lots of “collateral damage” of other things that they poke fun of outside of their main target(s), I have a whole list of others to sideswipe. I also have an idea of how to use this video as a foundation for discussing more thought-provoking topics in companion videos. These would range from toxic behavior of a small percentage of fans towards their opponents and their loved ones, to how certain positions are under appreciated.
