Let that be a springboard that catapults you into the Rube Waddell rabbit hole and maybe even that era of baseball, by far the most fascinating. I only wish baseball would have been integrated from the start, would have made these stories even more amazing, though there are a shit ton of cool stories surrounding the negro leagues at the same time. Though, a lot more terrible stories as well. For that look up Roy Campanella, possibly the greatest catcher who ever lived. Ty Cobb said Roy Campanella was the best player he had ever seen. He had a lot of respect for the position of catcher.
