Default Ja Morant catches more heat for brandishing gun on Instagram Live

The Memphis Grizzlies have dealt with a lot of drama on the court this season, and now they are dealing with quite a bit of it off the court as well. Ja Morant has faced some disturbing allegations that involve him threatening a mall security guard and beating up a 17-year old, and now he has found himself in even more hot water after his latest social media antics.

The Grizzlies came up short in their battle with the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, with Morant having a decent game, dropping 27 points and 10 assists. After the game, though, Morant went on Instagram Live in the early hours of Saturday morning, and was caught flashing a gun, which is an even worse decision considering all the allegations surrounding him right now.

I have to admit, that is dumb as shit. Didnt the Raiders WR get booted for stuff like this? Granted, Morant has far more talent but not the brightest of moves on his part.

Default Ja Morant to miss at least two games after displaying apparent gun in video

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant will not play in at least the next two games after his Instagram Live video, in which he displayed what appeared to be a gun while at a nightclub early Saturday morning, prompted an investigation from the NBA.

The Grizzlies announced Saturday afternoon that Morant "will be away from the team for at least the next two games," meaning he will not play Sunday against the LA Clippers or Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

"We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating," NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said in a statement earlier Saturday.

Morant began his Instagram Live session at 5:19 a.m. ET, hours after the Grizzlies' 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The All-Star guard, who was shirtless and rapping along with the music, could be seen holding up a handgun with his left hand.

This kind of bullshit makes gun culture look far more stupid than Ja Morant does. Well done, Tucker.
