Let's go ahead and rule him out.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Probably a “Passing Game Coordinator” or some shit, which specifically should go to Christian Parker.

I would have been much more excited if we would have promoted Parker to DC. He's bound for it anyway and I bet he's better than VJ right now.

Passing game Coordinator/Secondary coach equals QB coach. Next in line for a promotion.

I'd also take CP over VJ.

It's really hard to evaluate VJ as a defensive coordinator. As much as I hated him as the broncos head coach I'm willing to give him a shot. It's also time for a Philips style defense to regain prominence. Teams are adjusting to Fangios influence and running the ball much better against that defense. Just look at Andy Reid's Chiefs last year.

Also those defensive rosters in Arizona were a disaster. I can't believe Keim still has a job.

Kiam quit about the same time Whatshisface got fired, he probably got “resigned”.

I think this is key to getting better play out of Wilson; running defenses out of 2-Deep coverages.

I don't think VJ will be the biggest problem next year for us anyway, it will be our lack of talent and depth on Defense. we have 1 proven starting pass rusher if he is healthy, 1 elite safety and 1 elite CB, maybe a solid LB and DL player and that's about it. I expect pass rush, Run defense and depth to be big issues next year and we still wont have the ability to stop any team with a good TE. Luckily we will probably be avg 25 points a game on offense, so we should be competitive i guess....
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

    FA

Hard to say. Gregory has all the talent, but he is in the tub too much. Browning showed promise, but it remains to be seen if he is the real deal or if coverage is just that good. Dre'mont's absence will be missed if Paton's gamble to get him back cheap fails, but I think there will be other FA targets if he falls through.
