Interesting that the AP Final Poll had Florida State ranked 4th while Bama was ranked fifth.
The Coaches Poll (formerly UPI) had Florida State ranked THIRD while Bama and Texas were tied for fourth.
So who got it wrong? The sportswriters or the head coaches?

As for that video - comical! They're reacting to the ESPN infomercial telling viewers that Bama was back and to fear Bama. Then they show Michigan gasping when they find out they are playing Bama. It's called "conditioning." Let Michigan worry. Maybe they'll cheat more obviously.

As for Texas, I don't think they fear Bama at all. With Bama's old OC as their head coach, they lost by two at home then won by ten at Tuscaloosa the past two years against Saban.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Who got it wrong? The people who want to say that the four best teams include a team that has to start a backup QB, had a weak schedule, was probably overranked to begin with versus other teams with better wins and tougher SoS.

As for that video? It was represented to me that it was aired when the seeds were announced, and nothing more. If that's not the case, then shame on them.

People don't like to hear this, but it's about the four best teams; that's indisputable, and FSU doesn't have much of an argument for it.

Kentucky getting another NFL prospect at QB, good for one of the most undeserving States in the Union.

The FSU “controversy” is stupid, the Committee got this one right. Ask the Oddsmakers.

Hopefully NCAA is a good enough source.

And Sankey will be there next December insisting 8 playoff teams come from the SEC for the same bullshit reasons.

If you read the actual criteria, and you apply it to the facts, it's pretty clear putting Alabama in over FSU is reasonable.

Hoof, it's his job to advocate for the SEC; it's not his fault that putting more SEC teams in usually is the logical choice.

Remember when people bitched Alabama was put in, and then they won it all? Or last year, when it was obvious that TCU shouldn't have been put in--sloppy win over UM and all--and 'Bama got hosed? Or two SEC teams made it the NCG? What people don't want to admit is that college football doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's not just that one year; it's about pedigree, experience, and coaching. Time after time the elite blue-blood programs validate the perceived preferential treatment they're given. And when UT moves into the SEC and they're rolling like that you'll love it; or pretend that the arguments for UT would have existed even without the SEC, etc.

If Alabama wins it all this year then we're going to need a lot of the smaller school fans and pundits to shush about this stuff. But no one is ever accountable when they're wrong regarding the blue-blood teams. Is what it is. If you cheer for the little guy you don't have to answer for your bad takes.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Idk man. If it comes down to bama and iowa for the nccg (national collegiate championship game, an iowa loss is a memory I could do without. And I dont think iowa would win if that scenario plays out. But we will see. Thanks for the kind words though Buff
