This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Is Carr to Jimmy G really all that much of a downgrade? The latter has had far more postseason success. Granted it was on a great SF team, but I don't really think the Raiders will be much if any worse off with that QB switch. And Jimmy G comes cheaper.

Meh, not sure what Carr ever really accomplished there. He's a middle of the road QB. Maybe he's slightly better than Jimmy G, but it's not the crazy downgrade ya'll are acting like. But I get it "McD blow team up!"

He is actually very mad at me and these signings. Davii is also mad at me.

It’s no safe for me to be here anymore.

Tell BDB and Chazoe I love them.

Jokes aside, I think Paton just made some fans happy. McG is a damn fine RT

He’s above average and did that long term on that team and never had a top twenty defense or something crazy like that.

He’s not great, but did more there than many could imo

And honestly, having a middle of the road QB is like the worst place to be. If you don't have a stud (which Carr is not) you're better off having a nobody and positioning yourself to draft someone.

He's had good seasons, but he was actively terrible last year and his best years are probably behind him. I get the McD memes, but I think it's a savvy move getting off a QB before they fall of the cliff. Don't waste any time starting to look for the next long term guy.

Bears signing Tremaine Edmonds away from Buffalo.
