Did we really lose Jones over 2 mil per year?

Y’all need to **** and be a waterfall
Yeah, a waterfall.
I'm happy this morning the team clearly got better and we finally addressed the OL with FA's we didn't find in the bottom bargain bin. We are a better team today then we were going into FA. Our OL is better then anything we have had since Peyton left period. We just got one of the best RT's in the game, and Powers is a very good guard. We need Some more DL help, a Safety, RB and to sort our WR room out(however that shakes out), and Paton must have a good draft with Payton to top it off. However, George and Sean did well on Day 1 its that simple.
Interior Pass rush that's his bread and butter he really isn't a great 3 down player especially against the run. However we f'ed up by not re-signing him Imo. Pretty sure based off comments last year he was pretty much over Denver and the losing, i dont think 2 mil or money was the problem. I think he simply wanted a fresh start on a playoff team from last year.
The Saints were players in free agency every year under Payton, so this is a continuation of that trend.
In the end we got a more complete player. I like Dre'Mont, but it took him 3 years to become a regular starter and even at that, he was way better against the pass than the run. Allen is more balanced and his sack numbers will improve with solid exterior pass rushers next to him. Both were overpaid, but Allen is the better value
I was expecting a rinse and repeat of last year maybe 1 impact guy a couple tier 3 guys and more scrubs. I am pleasantly surprised. We got 2 tier 1 OL players, a tier 2 Pass rusher, a tier 2 Backup QB(Rypien was like tier 6 lol), and paid a ILB deservedly so. wouldn't mind seeing Jewell released and a more impact guy signed there at ILB though lol...
we still Need a tier 1 or tier 2 center, a DT, a safety, a RB and to decide what our WR room is going to be, but its a very good start IMO...

We started the day with only 29 players under contract for 2024, so I expected to fill some holes and go all in next year. Looks like they played both cards. play for this year AND next year.
Even if we stick with Cush and Stearns and bring in Murray and another meh RB...free agency has been a win this year. Especially if we can add draft capital by trading Sutton. But yeah...adding more upgrades will be a bonus.
I am hoping for Shelby Harris and Kareem Hunt signings sometime between now and training camp. I think either is a possibility.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
