    Default North's Den/Rav Game Observations

    Offensive playcalling/Coaching-

I dont know if Hackett is trying hard to be Dan Reeves but he is very ultra conservative especially early. I think maybe the team went downfield 4-5 times the entire game although they did manage to connect twice on longer passes. Why it is we dont stretch the field more is beyond me but im not at all impressed with Hackett/Kubiak and i dont see it getting any better.

    Offensive Line-

While they have struggled at times this year and struggled in the run game today for the most part they did a good job from what i saw. In fact Russ had more time to throw today than Huntley or even Lamar did but the difference was that Huntley made quicker decisions at getting rid of the ball. But the Oline in the passing game did a pretty good job compared to other games this year.

    Defense-

Brought their A game, got 2 turnovers but were once again victims of crashing under pressure because our offense cant score enough points to win ballgames. So many times the offense had chances to put the game away and failed to do so. So despite the defense crumbling on the final drive i dont blame them for this loss at all.

    Russell-

I still think this guy is done but there is also a part of me that wonders if Hackett and company are holding him back. On the final drive Russ did some really good things to try and put us in a position to win the game so i often wonder where is that particular playcalling or play throughout the first 3 quarters.

    Final Kick-

Once Russ got over midfield i knew they would let McManus try for the kick and for a fleeting moment both Missy and i thought he had made the kick. It was the right call there but unfortunately Brandon is no Justin Tucker so i wasnt surprised by it coming up short.

Either way the team fought once again to try and get a win but the offense keeps getting in the way of it, i dont know how many games that is now where we lose by a TD or less but its pretty frustrating as a fan. One thing i noticed though is the other Bronco fans are exactly like us here and we all make jokes throughout the game about whether or not we will score touchdowns.

Even Raven fans were booing and busting on Lamar before his injury but still managed to make a quip about not wasting a crap ton of money on their QB like we did. No matter where you fall on the Wilson scale the reality is he is NOT worth the money we paid him. I dont think any rational fan can say that he is even if you think he is less the problem than other parts of the team.

Did you & Missy go to the game? If not, was she mad at you?

Russell Wilson refuses to pick up yards with his running, that’s on him and only him and there’s no injury excuses for this … he needs a HC and OC to get him to play the way the game necessitates. If his critics had any sense they’d be questioning his will to win and not his stupid ******* persona.

This OL is dog shit, and it was no different today. After blocking well in the first half they were back to their scrub-ass-scrub selves after the first run of the 2nd half (which went up the gut for 10+). As bad as Wilson and Hackett ( and Kubiak) have been this OL is so obviously the weakest link in the entire NFL. These players suck!

Jewell sucks! I’m embarrassed for all the talking heads that pushed the Broncos bullshit narrative around this ****** stiff. Dude sucks!

I think the two go hand in hand. As I've said multiple times this year, I think he's at a point in his career where he cares more about his personal brand than winning. Just have to hope that now that his personal brand is at an all time low he'll drop all the bullshit and actually commit to playing in a way that helps his team win.

Jewell was 3rd on the list of complaints … but yeah, still the “biggest complaint” apparently.

Fart In A Hurricane is a great nickname for Jewell, far more fitting than Outlaw.

It’s criminal that this stiff is named after Josey Wales.

It is criminal that Nate Hackett is the HC of one of the most storied franchises in NFL history.
