(Next, he's claimed by the Chiefs and beats us with six TDs...)

Hackett speaks of Gordom's red zone fumble yesterday...

"In that situation, he's got to be smart with it and he can't fumble," head coach Nathaniel Hackett said after the game, via The Denver Post. "He knows that. You just can't do that. It's unacceptable. We've got to find a way to get the ball in the end zone."
You know, the same comments could be made about some of Hackett's late-game play-calling too.

Ding dong, the witch is dead!!
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Well one long nightmare is over at least.

This thread reminds me of the old western movies in which all the town folks form a lynch mob, demanding that the suspect being held by the sheriff and his deputies hand over their prisoners so they can be hung without a trial. Of course, the big differences I see between the Broncos and these westerns are as follows:

    1) There are millions of witnesses to the misdeeds of accused.

    2) They threw 1 of the accused out to the mob.

    3) There are still a minimum 3 more that lynch mob want to string up as well.
    ___a. The Mayor, Paxton
    ___b. The Shariff, Hackett
___c. Several of the Deputies, just about everyone who has had a hand in the debacle our O has become.
    ___d. The other suspect, Wilson.

    4) Therefore, throwing Gordon out to the lynch mob isn’t going to quell their wrath.

An hour or 2 before this news broke, I was thinking about starting a poll asking who everyone wants to see the Broncos with 1st. Gordon was among the 4 I was going to list. I bet most of you can guess the other 3

On a personal note, I do hope he finds success wherever he goes, unless it's in the division. He seemed like a good dude who loved being in Denver and was willing to come back on the cheap knowing it would be Javonte's backfield. I have no ill will toward him personally. He's obviously in his own head at this point and I hope he can get past it.

I’m not so sure. He almost gloated when Javonte got hurt and he became the starter, had a completely tone-deaf response to his fumbles, was being passive aggressive liking tweets about trading him when he was benched for (gasp) half a game for his fumbles, etc.

I don’t bear him any ill will but I also don’t wish him great success, just…. Bye

How did he gloat when Javonte got hurt? I don't remember that at all.

    Well, lets be fair.

He came back on the cheap because no other team was going to pay him what he wanted.
