This is the best news all season long sad to say.
This is the best news all season long sad to say.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
The second best thing to happen as a Denver fan all season for me. The first was the jags win the second was Gordon's release albeit about six weeks late, and never should have been brought back period this year.....
On top of not being able to pick up a first down, he s coming out of the 2 minute warning on 3rd down, the raiders have no timeouts. We call a pass play, fine, the choice to throw the ball away instead of just going down and letting the clock roll, gave the raiders an extra 40+ seconds.
That is a massive mistake you do not expect from a 10 year vet, not to mention, what people believe, is a future HOF'er, and a guy who just signed a contract at 250 million dollars.
If Wilson doesn’t pull his head out of his ass he won’t be in the HoF.

What's he suppose to do if the play call was a pass? He wants the first in that moment so do the coaches, you play to win. No one was open he was pressured instantly and couldn't set his feet. I guarantee you people would be losing their minds if he dropped Peyton style right there. Hindsight is great and all, but the play call is the issue there from coaches not Russ dropping in the fetal position.
They play call for a pass was fine, but if its not there you take what you can get and keep the clock rolling. Not to mention, were people not long ago questioning why they took the ball out of his hands at the end of a game? Either you put the ball in the hands of the guy you paid 250 million a year for or you do not. Had they had a run play there, people would be screaming that they should have tried to get the first down.
Situational awareness is critical. You don't throw the ball away and kill the clock inside 2 minutes with a lead and the other team with no timeouts, that is what you expect from a vet. Its no different than a player running out of bounds and stopping the clock. This team benefitted not to long ago from a play just like that, where a RB ran out of bounds and gave the Broncos more time on the clock. Im not sure how one can honestly excuse this sort of bonehead move.
As far as having time to do anything, it is entirely irrelevant, you do not let that end in a dead play, had he made a pass to a WR or TE and it was a drop, then you can remove it from his plate of stupid...
