Thread: 2022-23 College Basketball Thread

So i was a bit surprised to see UVA ranked this year as ever since our National Title run we have been pretty mediocre (which makes some sense after losing all that talent). But coming into this season i didnt expect us to be ranked. Never the less we played 5th ranked Baylor last night in Vegas and beat them so im pretty stoked to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Calipari is washed. Used to be an amazing recruiter and a good X's and O's coach. Too many years of giving up recruiting gains and squandering our momentum as a team paired with him regressing as an in-game coach. I supported the guy for years while our team underachieved. We'll lose this weekend to another strong program, beat up on scrubs, get another solid seed and do nothing with it.

I have no words right now...... Love 2019 and what we did but 9 times out of 10 it seems like we choke in this tournament more than surprise people.

The schedule makers carefully planned a Texas-Texas A&M second-rounder. Looks like the Aggies weren't up to the pressure. Beat the Criminal Tide, sure, no sweat. But playing the hated Horns and their nervous system just completely breaks down.

The criminal tide? Brother you root for a team that fired their coach because of domestic abuse. Don’t try to bring up dropped charges either because the kid for Bama isn’t going to jail.

Choking is often considered an aggravated form of domestic abuse, physical domestic abuse. Try again.

What charge should he have been hit with? Tell me what charge, what law he broke that he should have been charged with.

The point is you can't talk as a Texas fan. The Bama kid and your ex-coach have something in common: no jail time, accusations, and that kid wasn't even charged, was he?
