Also I give 2 shits about Russ he was done here the min they tried to get him to redo his contract. I have no issue moving on but what will happen is the song and dance about how stidham can be our guy and fans will eat that shit up like they always do.

We might be watching Stidham for a season while we groom a young guy or draft one in 2025. Either way I see 2024 as a hopeless season while we eat the dead cap we'll be saddled with because of Russ's stupid ass contract.

The only other possibility is we get lucky and draft a guy like Penix, McCarthy or Nix and they happen to be a stud. That would be more luck than any stroke of genius. It's possible though. I like Penix a lot after watching that game the other night. His poise in the pocket was astonishing IMO. His deep ball accuracy is phenomenal and he threaded the needle on some excellent passes in the short to mid range passing game as well. I was very impressed with my first ever time watching that young man play football. I'll be watching a bunch of Penix stuff today while I have a sit and wait day at work.
Penix has great coaching, a good offensive line, and great receivers. He’s struggled against inferior teams like Arizona State and Washington State. I’m not taking away that he is talented, but he is a product of a system. Ask yourself if he would have been the same QB in Indiana. The young man has had two ACL injuries. All I’m saying is, buyer beware.

Russell Wilson is “egg in the face” to the Denver Broncos. Many of us envisioned a second “Peyton Manning” where a really good quarterback comes in at the end of their career and takes them to a SB. It’s more like Joe Montana going to Chiefs. If Russ Wa was a team player, he’d restructure his contract to bring in talent to win.

I’m not the biggest Sean Peyton fan, but I concur with his decision.

Stidham has good talent, Derek Carr-ish, without the eyeliner.

Pennix spins the ball as good or better than anyone in college football, and he’s played every game for 2 years now. I’m not sure what you’re watching if you don’t think he’s got elite arm talent. His arm talent honestly reminds me of AR.

His deep passing reminds me of Joe Flacco.

It’s the left-handed thing, looks awkward.
