Are we still treating Russ with kid gloves?

No, at the slightest slip up we denigrate him and his great-grand-kids.

They’re fair game, I guess, they’ll probably never have to work either because of the contract Broncos gave Wilson.

This is pretty much the last year for Wilson with the team on his current deal.
His 2025 salary becomes guaranteed for $37M on March 21st next year so he'll either have to completely rework his contract and take huge pay cuts or he's gone with Paton following soon after.

    I hope they keep Paton.

Nothing from Paton shows me he's got what it takes to go all in for a QB in the next draft.

He'll probably end up drafted another 4 DBs instead.

Unless one falls in their lap, they can't go all in. Can't keep trading away draft capital, they're already woefully lacking in cost controlled depth.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Wow seems all it took for him to throw together a couple good practices. Prolly saving his real good shit for games. Super bowl.

I'm ok with going all in on a great talent in a loaded QB class.

I'm not ok with dumping premium draft picks on aging QBs and goofball QBs with no mental strength.

So my thoughts on Russ for this week is, aside from holding on the ball too long, he didn't look awful. What was awful was the number of dropped passes that were perfectly catchable by WR's...

That said, I'm not a Russ fan, I think he's washed and we're basically going to just have to limp by this season and hope that the defense is good.

I predict that QB Russell Wilson will get benched. QB Jarrett Stidham will take over for this season. They should've gotten QB Aaron Rogers.
