2-1 in first place! that’s it that’s all
Worst thread ever.
Broncos country?? Let’s ride
3 weeks for a "fire" thread is pretty solid. The rest of it is astounding.
Actually, this is the latest that a "fire the current HC" has been started. Ever since Elway hired Fox, the firing thread has been started on the same day the new coach was hired. Granted, the "Fire Fox" thread that started it all was a pun referring to the search engine by the same name. The tradition was continued as a means of poking fun at those board members who were too quick to turn on our HCs. The only other coach to not have a firing thread started the same day he was hired was when Elway hired Kubiak. Everyone was so excited about the prospect that we were “getting the band back together” that had won the 2 SBs in Elway’s final seasons that no one ever started a “Fire Kubes” thread.

This feels premature.
You can always tell who the new people around here are when this ceremonial thread is started for a new coach or GM.
I dont think Agent Orange is all that new, plus we know these threads will come up eventually anyway. Lol
Getting closer...
I don't know if the plays are poorly called or if Wilson is not executing. Either Wilson or Hackett is not good enough. Courtland Sutton through the first 21 minutes of play: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 34 yards, 1 TD. Then no targets for the next 29 minutes!
Either Wilson is afraid to throw the ball outside, which it definitely looks like he is, or Hackett is not calling plays that get Sutton 1 on 1. Either way, one of them is not doing their job.
I'm not a fan of criticizing coaches because it's usually lack of talent/execution.
But this was pathetic preparation and game planning.
I said last week that the raiders use their CBs/Safeties to slot blitz so let's not use too many tight bunch formations.
-Fail. Tight formations led to plenty of unnecessary blitzes and pressure on the run/pass game.
I said we had ONE guy to neutralize in their front 7 in Crosby.
-Fail. We were lining up Andrew Beck one on one against Crosby that led to at least one clean sack. Other times we lined up Fleming one on one against him. Why?
I said their OL was weak and Carr falls apart getting hit early.
-Fail. The raiders kept lining up with 6 OL fronts to counter our pass rush/pressure. We rushed FOUR for most of the game and kept blitzing from Jewell which got our DL overpowered and plenty of gaps in run lanes.
Whenever we spread them out and let Wilson decide the play at the line, the offense looked great. But we kept on lining up with tight/bunch formations, inviting pressure and crippling the run game, on top of giving snaps to Gordon when it was obvious he's a fumble waiting to happen.
Oh yeah, and not to leave out special teams, they rushed the extra point on the Jeudy TD because they feared it might get over turned and missed the extra point off a high snap.
Instead of making it a physical contest in the trenches, and bullying the line of scrimmage, the Offense keeps playing the same tight/bunch formations and Evero inexplicably went from 5 man DL fronts getting plenty of pressure and killing the run to a sieve of a DL with just 4 and trying to make Jewell into Micah Parsons.
