Trade Jeudy for Kyle Pitts straight up?? Heck, we’ll toss in Hamler
rest - https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/p...over-the-49ersDENVER — In a wild 11-10 win over San Francisco, the Broncos relied on an unlikely hero: field position.
Special teams is often the forgotten unit in football, typically only receiving acknowledgment when things go wrong. But in the Broncos' "Sunday Night Football" showdown against the 49ers, special teams played a major role in earning the victory.
Corliss Waitman, who won the punting job in the preseason, had a much larger responsibility in the game than he likely anticipated. In a contest that was not kind to either offense, Denver and San Francisco combined for 17 punts — 10 of them coming from Waitman.
With the bright, prime-time lights shining down upon him, Waitman rose to meet the challenge. The second-year punter totaled 476 yards on the night, averaging over 47 yards per punt. Six of them were downed inside the 20-yard line — including two inside the 5-yard line — which consistently gave the Broncos' defense great field position throughout the game.

THIS ONES FOR JOHNWOULD YOU RATHER WIN UGLY, OR LOSE PRETTY?
You think we would’ve learned when we destroyed Manning trying to force him into this offense…
I think the 4th Q was exactly what Russ needed. Sure seemed like the rust came off on that last scoring drive.
Unfortunately, I missed the game due to being at Louder than Life for the weekend. Looks like we had another offensive powerhouse showing… NBD. We got the win. Every other team in the AFCW lost yesterday so it’s a net awesome.
Anyone crying about the lack offensive output vs a stupid tough defense in the 49ers, just close your eyes and imagine a 2 in front of the scores instead of a 1. Nobody would’ve been bitching too much about a 21-20 win in a tightly contested game with a tough opponent. There would’ve been joy at how well the team played to get a victory.
Everyone keeps saying that we’ll be in trouble when we get around to playing KC (2-1 like us) and the all-powerful, all-mighty, best roster in the league, Chuggers (1-2 LOL) who got blasted by the Jags at home. Will anyone GAF if we beat the Faid next week 14-13? Or the Queefs 13-12? Or the Chuggers 5-3? Well, I’m sure there’d be a few complainers about not scoring 50 PPG, but as long as we win, I don’t give a shit how many points we score (or don’t). This defense is starting to show out like the 2015 did a little. That’s very encouraging. Go Broncos!!!

It could realistically take all season. They give up a ton for Russ so they have to find a way to make it work.
It’s hard to compare this situation to any other, as a Hall of Fame caliber QBs never get traded. The closest might be Brady and the Bucs.
There’s been flashes of what this offense is capable of, hopefully at some point they can put it all together. Maybe the 4th quarter last night will be the turning point, we can hope
Not all of the offensive woes were directly a result of good defense last night is the problem. Russ missed multiple open throws badly, there were a couple of drops, and there were multiple plays where Russ and the WR were very clearly not on the same page. Even against a great defense like the 49ers, this team has too much offensive talent to only be scoring 11 points.

Offense was severely lacking across the whole NFL yesterday, Packers/ Bucs 14-12, Bills 19 points, Chiefs 17, Chargers 10, Rams/Cardinals 20-12. These are the leagues best offensives and they couldn’t do squat either.
