I expect the backups to come in and punch the Vikings in the mouth. They were humiliated last week and the coaching staff made no excuses for it. Anyone who doesn't come into this game with a completely different mindset is going to be gone by Tuesday afternoon. Like every other preseason, I was really excited to see the backups show their wares. Like every other preseason, I'm ready to have this part of it over with and get to real games.
I am looking forward to seeing if Rypien can win the backup QB spot tonight. I think he takes it with a good game. The WR race is close for that last roster spot. Interior Oline has some good competition. D line has might have some surprises as well. It sounds like Henningson has gotten better every day of camp and has shown out in the preseason games. I think he pushes DeShawn Williams out. Uwazurike has been disappointing in preseason but he was a fourth round pick. I doubt he's in any danger of being cut.

Geaux Broncos!![]()
Go Broncos! Looking forward to seeing a much better performance by those either trying to make the roster or show out in hopes of making someone else's!
Personally, I think they should start QB Wilson Russell because Wilson needs to knock the rust off and prepare well for Monday Night Football in Seattle. I hope HC Hackett knows what he is doing with our Broncos.
Hate waiting all day for this to happen!
rest - https://www.9news.com/article/sports...b-cc390950b7d8ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Making an assumption here, but former Nuggets Allen Iverson wouldn’t be happy with the discussion new Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett has stirred with the local media the past month.
All this talk about practice.
Never before has there been so much conversation about how training camp should be conducted or how preseason games should be approached.
"It has been a topic of discussion, I’ve had to answer a lot of questions about that," Hackett said this week in a sit-down interview with 9NEWS. "I’m just kind of looking back on all my experiences from my past, from my time before Green Bay and then my time at Green Bay. I think first and foremost it always starts with the quarterback. When you have a quarterback who is a veteran, has done it for as long as he has, then you have the ability to potentially protect your team."

Hackett’s method isn’t disagreeable but something new. Manning played the preseason. Most elite QBs take a few snaps during the preseason. I’m not saying Hackett is wrong. I’m just ready to see if Wilson is ready. Practice at Dove Valley doesn’t really tell us that. I do get his elite veteran status speaks for itself. I’m excited to watch him against the Seahawks
I dont care that they didnt play most of the preseason but i do worry not playing at all can lead to not being conditioned enough as well as chemistry with the team in live game action. You can be injured in preseason but you can also be injured in the regular season so i never understood that argument. Most of the players we have had the last few years end up getting injured even without playing most of the preseason, it just happens regardless. But i do think it can hurt the team by not at least going out for a couple of series in live action games and seeing if you can execute everything you have been practicing. But it looks like they wont play at all i just hope we dont come out flat against Seattle. Losing that game would kind of suck balls to kick off the season.
I want to see some semblance of a running game, and a D-line that doesn’t get blown off the LOS by 3 yds on every run play. Other than that just play sound football like their jobs depend on it because it does. A good bounce back game from last weeks debacle will go a long way to restoring confidence in this fan base. And actually, I expect this.
What time is this mountain?

Mike Boone has some shimmy and shake tonight. Looks good. Has four 3 carries for 43 yards. That's basically more yards than Broncos rushed for in first two preseason games. #Denver7
