Hearing a lot of positive things about browning. Maybe the transition to OLB was exactly what he needed.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I saw an article/blurb on it not long ago, but can’t find it now. Anyway, the gist of it was that the coaching staff looked at tape and his body type/ measurements, and decided to move him to OLB which they thought was more suitable for him. They also believed that he could be a better OLB than an ILB. So far, so good.

    Like Shaq Barrett good!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

He also said he wanted to move there. It was he that first told them he wanted to switch. I am glad they listened and agreed

Speaks volumes about the staff, honestly. Actually, I think it says more about the last staff that this is something we’re not used to.

Yeah man the more pass rushers the better. Having 4-5 guys who can make life miserable for quarterbacks is great especially since guys do get tired and a tired guy is likely to get injured. We’ll have the ability to swap out pass rushers without a drop off and keep everyone fresh.

One of the better, and in-depth, articles I’ve read so far on the Baron Browning to Edge conversion. Great read, and goes back to his OSU role(s).

This team looks deep at CB, pass rusher, and interior OL. With Paton guaranteeing more picks before we get to the draft next year, I could see some guys being moved for late round picks. Malik, Ojemudia, and Glasgow come to mind as possibilities to me.

Agreed. But not sure about OJ because of injuries to K’Waan, and injury history of Darby. Also, with the success of the offense last week, a lot it unfortunately came against Bassey, so I’m not sure they can afford to ship off a CB with experience. But stranger things have happened, so you never know.

Right I disagree with trading corners right now. Especially decent ones like OJ. With Williams already nicked up until week 1, and Darby has a long history of missing some games here and there I’d rather keep our depth like OJ

I’d also rather not get rid of Malik either for the same reasons….. we need the depth at pass rusher and with Chubb and Gregory having history of injuries we could very well end up needing all of our guys
