Guys from DB.com speaking on practice with Dallas today with former bronco Nick Ferguson
Ferg said Bonnito was crushing shit today vs Dallas lol said he had 4 sacks!!!!!!!! Loving what I’m been hearing about this kid!!
It depends on who's writing. Writers from Dallas say is was a much closer contest, Prescott was great, Lamb was great, Russ was intercepted once and other ints were dropped, blah, blah, blah.
Preseason sucks a$$.
jonas griffith is out six weeks with a dislocated elbow. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
I'm curious what the contract is, but I like this signing. With Griffith hurt, we needed help there. And Schobert has the best resume of any linebacker currently on our roster. At the age of his prime, and he has stacked up some really good seasons. He finished 2019 with 133 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and two forced fumbles. That led to a huge contract with Jax (they probably overpaid), then was traded to Pitt, and they cut him mostly b/c of the size of the contract.
If you look at his stats over the past 4 years, he has been more productive than any middle linebacker we've had in years

Surprised there aren’t any contract details easily available, I guess maybe later today or tomorrow.
He's been better than both Josey and Griffith. However, I'm going off of what we've seen in the past, not on what their potential is. Josey showed good flashes before he got hurt last year, and Griffith has great potential. I just hate the word "potential" b/c we've been talking about "potential" for so many players on our roster and haven't seen the actual production. So, potential aside, and focusing on production, I think Schobert is better than what we have, and it's not even really that close.
