What I did in Italy and continue to do is stream with a subscription to YoutubeTV and use a VPN to keep my local market as Denver.
The thing is, we never watch anything on YouTubeTV anymore. I literally pay $65 a month so that I don't lose my setup for Broncos games. (We did use it somewhat overseas but streaming other services was always iffy). Now, I pay for all the services I sub, have both Roku and Firestick. But if they come out with a better deal than Directv which was stupidly expensive when we dropped it I would cut YoutTube tv too and just sub that package for football season. I don't need regular tv at all and would rather buy a package than keep paying for a sub I don't use outside of Football season.
But that is one solution.
On my last trip I experimented with VPN and youtube TV, and that did work. I'm, unfortunately, not a Denver home market, so need to see if NFL Sunday Ticket will work with VPN and location tracking off. I did test NFL gamepass, and it did, but no way to test NFL Sunday ticket outside of season (at least I don't think, didn't check that app).
I'm also looking at an HDMI encoder to replicate my slingbox. Not as straight forward, but in concept, using VLC player, and separate APP with IR blaster, it should replicate my Slingbox.
Damn! I was hoping it was a way to stream watching the Broncos other than having Directv & Sunday Ticket. It’s NFL Redzone another year. Hopefully, Broncos have more national coverage than years past. Though, Seattle has always been anti Bronco in tv coverage.
