Default Todd Bowles to take over as head coach of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Bruce Arians stepping into front-office role

TAMPA, Fla. -- Bruce Arians is stepping down after three seasons as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' head coach and moving into a front-office role with the organization, the team announced Wednesday night.

Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will replace Arians as head coach. A league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Bucs finalized a new five-year, head-coaching contract with Bowles earlier Wednesday.

Arians told ESPN he doesn't see the change as a retirement. "No, moving to the front office," he said in a text message. "I'm still working."

His new job title will be senior football consultant.

Todd Bowles is a good coach. He'll be there for a long while, me thinks.

So Tom wanted Bruce gone from HC as a condition of his return.... Only way this makes sense, honestly, otherwise he'd be right back out the door or banging for that supposed trade we've been hearing rumored. ******* drama queen POS.

We’re gonna be stuck with Thom Gaydy forever, dude always gets his way … the NFL will accommodate to allow him to play (and cheat) from a wheelchair.

    coach killer. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Arians tried putting a positive spin on it, he is pushing minorities further and stepping aside for them to do so. All the local sports guys eating it up instead of just calling Brady on his bs.
