Like tony romo would be considered a franchise type quarterback right? He was a flyer

We’ll yeah that’s the point in taking a flyer…… he should be your back up 3rd stringer or practice squad guy for a few year’s and then if he’s progressed the way you hoped he would you make him the back up

Lol, i love how Jham keeps using guys like Brady and Romo as if they are the norm for late round QB's who actually made it as starters. Its so damn rare dude... jesus.

It's obviously not the norm. But that's why it's considered a flyer. Ya never know. Risk vs reward. Many examples of non drafted FAs outperforming late draft picks. Why not try to find a sleeper at the most valuable position?

is that your financial plan for the next five to ten years?
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

If im going to take a risk its going to be on a guy at the most valuable position who is a higher prospect and most likely more NFL ready. Flyers are luxury picks when you already have a starter, we dont have that yet and cant afford to pass on better talent with a lower percentage QB later in the draft.

Stack up on assets. It's OK to take 2. It's been done before. Improve the odds.

Sure, its why Wash was able to insert Cousins when Griffin flamed out. Just so as long as you arent passing up better prospects to take the guy in round 3-7.

Just make sure you don’t draft a scrub like Cousins.

This is probably the All-Time worst draft to take a mid-to-late round flyer, some of the top prospects should be mid-to-late round flyers (Carson Slow).

Dude he throws a great ball and has a cannon. He has knee issues but at the end of the day qb are supposed to throw the ball. He does that well
