I'll just sit here and pray we don't draft a QB at all this year

Any thoughts about the OT from Tulsa? Tyler Smith?

Only because my neighbor has a nephew playing there (Kendarin Ray) and I'm some times forced to watch them more than I ever would. I like Smith. I think he'll probably go late 1st/early 2nd and start off as either RT or IOL. Once he grows his skillset to the NFL level, he could be a really good LT. Definitely a fast riser since he finally declared.

He's a board favorite on here (Jaded and I both love him) and I think he'll be a big deal in the NFL.

Why we don't have one...We should draft one consistently until we find one. I have heard the whole shit class thing over and over again while comparing it to last years class in which not one of the top 4 actually really stood out in anyway shape or form or lived up to there draft position. TL and Trey weren't anything special, Mac Jones was alright at times and fields is already up against it. With a good staff and system and some effort a couple of these guys have the tools to be successful.

However I also feel strongly about edge and OT being big big needs and have concerns at S, CB, ILB and the OL in general, So if we were to go that route or trade back and look at a guy like Ridder in Late 1st or rd 2 so be it. IF your telling me these Qb's aren't worth a top 10 pick, I would tend to agree from a value perspective, but its the most important position to take risks on so we should shoot our shot regardless, Its also cheap as shit if were being honest. Teams shy away from it to much sometimes in favor of the retread that never gets them anywhere ever.
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

    FA

Fine...then I'll say as long as we don't draft one early with the notion he'll amount to anything

That is a completely fair take, and understandable one.

I also have pretty low expectations for wins next year barring a Rodgers, Wilson or Watson in Denver. I think even with them we are a 10-7, 11-6 wild card team at best sitting here today(its pre draft and FA though if were being fair), without them I think we miss the playoffs again and are perhaps a 9-8 team if we run with Lock or some bridge vet. I expect to see a retooling and rebuild of the LR dynamics, and upgrade in coaching philosophy and tactics, more innovation, less gameday management issues, more competitive team, better offense and legit attempts to address QB, but I think if we stay the course, avoid the retreads at QB with extensions, manage the cap and don't waste draft capital 2023-2024 we will be back in the AFC hunt.

Jordan Davis looks like he’d be a beast in the middle of our defense. That size strength and quickness is very rare for a big guy like that
