After the SB we hire the Rams guy to be our DC. Then we see paton swing big dik style for Rodgers. He comes here too. Then we get to re-signing our guys and I bet the 4 that are immediately brought back are Massie (on a cheap 1 year) Aj Johnson (3 year), Young or some other LB.

Assuming Rodgers comes here I fully expect us to go ALL Lines for draft. O and D. My guess is with our first pick (2nd round) we snag a T. Then 3rd round and 4th we go Dline. I bet we see another Dline FA signing too.

Which is all the more reason why I want nothing to do with Davante Adams (unless Rodgers ONLY comes here if he does- doubt it). We have plenty of WR depth and do not need to waste $ there. We need it to get the DL (DE, DT/NT) beffed the F up!
Hmm...I don’t like that plan at all. Lol

Why did we go through all this trouble just to continue with the win now mentality?
That’s why we keep reverting back to mediocrity. We need to build a contender, not to buy a contender...

Yup it’s time to orchestrate this team in a way we’re contenders year in year out.

Trust me if we didn’t have to mortgage the future to get rodgers I’d be with bringing him in for 1-2 year’s. This is not a manning scenario at all for that reason alone.

Rodgers needs to just stay in GB where he belongs and the Broncos need to roll with Lock and a drafted guy to develop just in case .

With how good Paton is at drafting I want that man to have all the picks he could possibly have. He has 11 picks in this draft with two 2nds two 3rds and two 5ths. I’m really looking forward to seeing what players Paton pulls off to help this roster in those first 3 rounds having 5 picks and all.

Because we will win now. Thats what this is all about. Winning Superbowls. Not being competative. People seem to think Brady is going to happen on all teams.

I do not like this thought and I see it a lot.

Lets ask the chargers. They went from brees, to Rivers, to Herbert. How many championships do they have. They are "Building the right way through the draft, not winning now mentality". How many SBs have the falcons won with Matt Ryan (home grown QB)? Raiders with Carr? Browns with baker? Texans with Watson? Cardinals with Murray? Colts with Luck and whomever else? They have been relevant (irrelevant) for years but they did what people keep saying.

No- you win now. You win anytime you can. Rodgers does that for us. No more of kicking the can down the road and half assing QB or HOPING a QB in a very bad QB draft- one where Drew Lock would be the first overall pick possibly- will develop into a Herbert or Allen. People need to get off this sissy stuff. You want to win? Go freaking win. Go get the tools needed to win. Rodgers taking MVP better than herbert. Better than Lamar. Mahomes, etc. Rodgers.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

This is the worst case scenario.

Also- this goes for everyone- stop saying "Mortgage the future". First, getting rodgers for nearly any price is not mortgaging the future. Secondly, NO ONE knows what the cost will be. People keep throwing out stuff, but they have no idea. They also keep using the Desaun Watson compensation as the marker for Rodgers. It very likely will not be anywhere close to that.

I wager it will come in closer to two 1sts and two 2nds.....And if it is anywhere near that, we are faaaaaaaaar from mortgaging the future.

Im with you here. Aside from the fact we wont have a 1 and 2 this year. And if we do I still think he goes after Malik.

If the so call experts are just shooting shit saying 3 1st a 2nd and 2 starters is BS in your eyes then your wager is what? You do realize there’s a reason nobody traded for rodgers last year right? All the reports were real and said the packers were pricing it so high it was making him untradeable. Those asking prices was real! The Texans did the exact same thing.

But anyways you go ahead into year two of hoping some shit happens that has zero chance of happening. Imma stay over here in reality because I’m not playing that game again and I don’t want the guy anyway.

Aren’t the packers strapped $45 million in cap space? Or something like that? That’s going to be key in any negotiation going forward. Somebody is going to have to folk out some cash for Rodgers, right?

    Nope.
    1. That was for Watson not Rodgers.
    2. Experts said Rodgers was 3 picks. Two 1sts and 1 2nd.
    3. Gb asking price wasn't too high. They got cold feet and stopped answering the phone.
    4. Id asking price was soo high, why are we working again to get him?

    5. You "reality" post is not going to age well. Not at all.

The Packers are not in a good cap spot but they coukd figure out a way to keep Rodgers.

If Rodgers is traded his cap hit is only 26mil, gb eats 19 mil.
What will happen happen is that when we trade for him we will re-work his deal lowering the cap hit to us and extend him 4 years most likely, while also lowering gb cap hit of 19mil to something much smaller.

Imagine trying this hard to justify NOT getting Aaron Rodgers?
