A few folks around here have been bashing Paton and saying he's an idiot who is married to Quinn. Quinn was a guaranteed lock to be the coach. Paton is completely inept and over his head.
You know who you are.

We were merely listening to the Broncos guru, Ben Allbright.
Quinn was never on my list of candidates that I would prefer, so I was oblivious to any special interests that linked Paton to Quinn. I think that if Paton did his homework and I know he did, he knew that history of defensive minded head coaches that have come to Denver that and their tracking record was very abysmal. For that reason I wasn’t all that surprised he picked Hackett. I was hoping for McConnell, but Hackett is probably the best choice. I love it!
What do I need to apologize for?
I’ve never for a second contemplated Quinn coming to Denver. Now I do admit saying Paton that he will be judged on two things this season...
1- his head coach selection (Pass)
2- his draft selection with our first pick
So far so good, but you’ve gotta understand that bringing Teddy Bridgewater to Denver wasn’t a great move at all. Who our starting quarterback is going to be this season, looms large in the horizon. I hope for our collective sanity that he doesn’t go out and bring Cousins here to Denver

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Am I wrong in thinking that the posters who were telling us Paton was married to Quinn, are the same posters who told us we were going to run it back next season with Fangio and Bridgewater?
If so, let's just permanently suspend those accounts.

Ok … there’s a slight chance I might’ve been wrong about Paton’s coaching search … it takes a big man to admit that he might be kind of wrong a lil bit.
Now, if he passes the Cousins test I will buy his jersey.

I will never apologize for misery porn after being proven right so many times. However Thank you Paton, I'm sorry I potentially doubted you on the coach.
Also NTL it's Paton's own fault for the other misery porn. He kept saying in pressers how much he values Fangio and Fangio loved him some Pat and Teddy so its not our fault he is really good at poker. Sheesssshhhhhh!!
