I was happy they chose Pickett. Hometown boy! Guess they learned their lesson about not drafting the previous one - Marino.

Im just glad Pickett didnt get drafted by Detroit. At least in Pitt Kenny has a legitimate shot to make it in the NFL.

So you guys found a QB yet? You got Rudolph, Trubisky and "Little Hands" Pickett last I checked. Is this really what they plan to roll with?

Mighty big talk for someone whose been trotting out a lot of iffy dudes post PFM!

Pickett was a tremendous value in the first round where we were.

It was a legitimate question, King. You had around 15 years of Rapistburger so there was no question who the #1 quarterback was. Now it's like an open tryout. So you think Pickett will outplay Burrow, Jackson and Watson? That's the Steelers' big question for the next five years or so.

It was the "is this really what they they plan to roll with?" that did it for me, hoss.

I think the QB room is fine as is. Trubisky is a high-end backup and a solid spot-starter/bridge QB. Pickett was a legitimate first round QB, albeit in a QB class that wasn't great.

Pickett's ceiling is Tony Romo. Tony Romo was good enough to compete with just about any QB back in his day. I like Pickett's athleticism. A lot. I only have questions about a few things. If he needs time to grow, Trubisky is fine to trot out there. Rudolph is a third QB.

Pittsburgh is unlikely to give up on Pickett too quickly. They're also unlikely to give him too much of a window like the Giants did with Daniel Jones. It will work out.

I like Pickett. I’m excited to see what type of player he becomes.
