    That's my take on Mills.

I still don't think they take Pickett...but only 3 months confident.

    Not an encouraging assessment...

    NFL player comparison: Teddy Bridgewater
Kenny Pickett and Teddy Bridgewater share numerous similarities from their comparable skill sets to their adequate arm talent. Both quarterbacks had ample college experience with their best year coming prior to their entry into the NFL Draft. Bridgewater and Pickett are pocket-passers who can use their lateral mobility to extend plays. Though neither are necessarily runners, this gives them an edge. They have the ability to keep their eyes down the field and go through their progressions. Like Bridgewater, Pickett could be a quality starter in the NFL, but might never get over the hump to be considered a top-flight QB at the next level.

Interesting. A lot of the issues with Teddy reside in mentality and execution. The unwillingness to take a contested deep shot, or throw it down the seam. Physically speaking, and note this comparison is pointed towards TBW before his injuries, TBW was worthy of a first round pick.

I think a more apt comparison for Pickett, in terms of style of play is a McNabb or a Romo. Granted he's not quite the athlete they were, but still.

I have a feeling all this hand size shit ends up to be bullshit, we don’t have any NFL measurements on any players yet.

Let’s be honest though, this is the kind of rationale that Denver used with Lock after his rookie season. I’m to the point that if you aren’t sure I think you should keep drafting QB’s til you don’t have room on your roster anymore.

Not sure if Houston will draft a QB in the first round but definitely could see them do it in the 2nd. I think they like Mills but im not sure even they are sold that he is the answer either. Mills did some nice things but he is a very far cry from Watson.

    Two main differences to me:

1-His pedigree prior to draft day. CLEARLY has the ability. Lock was rated pretty high as well, but Mills was the top guy. His performance isn't what held him back. Injuries(reasonable concern) and Stanford forgot how to play football.

2-are you taking any of these QBs at 3? When you could basically get the same guy at 35?

*assuming they have their pick. Too lazy to check

Lock had the pedigree, far more accomplished too.

I don’t think I’d take any of these guys at 3 if I’m the Texans, valid point, but this is the reason the Broncos didn’t draft a QB in 2020. It’s worth noting that JFE absolutely would have taken Herbert if he were there at 10.

Texans actually do have their pick this year.

Pickett is the better QB in a lackluster QB draft.

Broncos are in no place to turn their noses up at a QB with small hands.

We all would have been fine with pre injury teddy here last year, no doubt some of his bitch tendencies were from a devastating NFL injury it happens. Denver has no business turning up there noses at a QB that can go through progressions, make all the throws and have enough mobility to extend plays. That wasn't the teddy we go this year though fyi......
