Both Jaded and myself have praised Paton for a number of decisions especially RFW while simultaneously criticizing the focus on JAGS at ILB and RT. Jham likes to be dramatic about our so called hate for Paton

I will agree, there is room for both.

I am not sure how Oline was looked at with replacement bench level guys, again. Or how we have failed to find someone to cover a TE so far.

I am still not sure how I feel about the cost for Wilson, but that horse isnt worth beating today.

    seriously. . . so selfish. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I’ve been pleasantly surprised so far, both with how he handled Vic and last year, his choice in HC, and with his approach to team building/roster management. The jury is obviously out until we see how everything goes, but I feel excited for football again which I haven’t really felt for a while.

While I don’t know how good the team will be, I expect it to be pretty damn good, and I haven’t seen any moves from George that give me pause and make me think he’s lost. If he shows growth from where he started I think we’ll have a long time GM here.

Paton has not really made any head scratchers at least that I can think of.

I've been really happy with what he has done.

    The proof comes September.

I think Paton has done what is needed to make Hackett successful. Im more concerned with how Hackett does coaching than i am of how Paton has set up the team. Paton can only put the pieces in place, its up to Hackett to actually make it all work.

I’m excited by what seems to be serious potential there. Who knows…. We shall see…

Default Broncos' OLB Malik Reed Signs RFA Tender

On Monday, Denver Broncos players returned to UCHealth Training Center for the first phase of the team's offseason training program. At this time, players are limited to physical training, weightlifting, and meetings before on-field work begins in voluntary minicamp (April 25-27).

While players gathered for the first time in the new and improved Russell Wilson era, the Broncos announced that rush linebacker Malik Reed has signed his restricted free-agent tender on Monday. Reed is set to earn a base salary of approximately $2.433 million in 2022.

The Broncos signed the 6-foot-2, 235-pound Alabama native as a college free agent in 2019 after recording 22 sacks at Nevada. Since then, Reed has played 45 career games for the Broncos, logging 15 sacks, 74 solo tackles, and three forced fumbles. Reed led the team in sacks in 2020 when Von Miller was injured for the season and Bradley Chubb wasn't completely recovered from ACL surgery.
