I don't know other than I heard that McD had a great talk with lots of idea's oh how to get the team to the next step when he was interviewed. So I have to guess that Hackett did too. I think I heard that they pretty much told Vance who he needed to keep and that was so horrible that they tied his hands. So they wanted Hackett to build his own team.

I can't remember feeling this way this early into the season. I know I saw talent on the field at camp. I know I'll still support the guys anyway I can. I just feel sad for the guys.

There are a number of very good takes back in march by a number of different posters regarding positions and certain players we acquired, signed, kept etc....How the F did Paton and the team not see what we knew back in march......

Collins has been awful in Cincinnati. Given how he was never great in Dallas, not signing him was a good move. Armstead has been hurt but is playing through injury at a high level. This is the first time it feels like he might make a whole season. You could pencil in not signing him as a bad move thus far.

Bolles showed how underrated he is. ILB has not been the albatross for Denver that many thought it would. Mostly because it's one of the least valuable positions in the entire league. Russ has been a disaster. Hackett a disaster. Chaz called the Browning at OLB/pass rusher thing.

The Chiefs miss Hill but have gotten by via an all-hands-on-deck approach and spamming Kelce with the ball. The Raiders should be a good team, but they have a bad coach who has choked games away and they collapse. The Gregory gambit looks like it was going to pay off, until it didn't. Jaded hates stats, views the definition of talent differently than others, etc. People hate states unless it goes with their world view, and no one seems to think that stats can be a part of a holistic analysis of a player.

Everyone was both happy and mad at the same time.

    Life is now pain.

    /thread analysis.

Me too North. I tried so hard to keep my expectations down knowing that everything was new. But the excitement was real and I got caught up in the thought that we have a QB that can compete. I saw this yesterday and went whoa, coming from another coach this seems major:

I always support coaches and would rarely advocate for their firing.

But Hackett needs to be done in Denver with the Broncos.

The search needs to begin immediately for someone who can connect with Wilson and make him a player again. Nathaniel doesn’t appear to be that person.

There is a news story about Hackett about to be fired if we lose this week on Fox news. This has gone national, it's not just us local fans speculating. This isn't just about the W-L but how terrible we look.

If that happens, Hackett will have himself to blame for punting on the preseason and not getting everyone on the same page.

Nope, too hard to tell who will be available in the 3rd round right now and as soon as I like a player they end up going 1st round (not so humble brag).

So Hackett is safe? Sorry Broncos fans, but it’s literally science.
