Not hard IMO. We have the 9th pick and some good draft capital and cap space.

Yeah… cause the VJ era wasn’t painful enough, let’s try to recreate it. Hey, maybe they’ll give us Keenum back too

nah, give it another decade or so. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

IMO, he's far worse than VJ. . .

yeah. . . all the local radio guys were on that this morning. . . "we need a guy with experience". . . the ol' play it safe, foxball mentality. . . i guess it's too risky to get a 1st time HC-- like, say, sean mcdermott, zach taylor, mike vrabel, cliff kingsbury, matt lafleur, sean mcvey, nick sirianni, kyle shanahan, etc. . . argh! throw in mike tomlin as a guy who's only ever had one job, and the raiders interim, and you only have a couple of experienced / retread hire coaches in the entire playoff picture. . . bill belichick, andy reid, bruce ariens and mike mccarthy are the only retreads in the bunch, and three of the four went to super bowls in their first job before getting recycled. . .

of the available guys who fit the "experienced coach" narrative, doug pederson is the only one who won't make me want to gouge my eyes out. . . god, i hate that risk averse mentality! the vast majority of the time, it's just a straight-up ticket to mediocrity. . . if we hire quinn and don't get russel wilson, i may need to take a break from this team. . . where the hell is slim when i need him?

Yup. He'll either get a HC or DC job I'd think.

Flores might be my top choice at this point. That guy is a good coach IMHO.

Why wouldn’t Pederson entertain the Jaguars job?

Flores is now my top option as well. Guy swept Belichick and outcoached him multiple times and still got fired? I don't care if he isn't offensive minded, guy can lead a team.

He was apparently part of the reason Watson wanted to go to Miami as well.

If the 'Phins are dumb enough to fire Flores, they deserve to be awful.
