I have a hard time believing the Browns would just let him walk and I suspect Mayfield also has a no-trade clause so he doesn't wind up a Lion or a Jaguar. Without knowing some of these details, it's easier to explore possibilities that aren't actually possible. Some teams want to make sure any trade involving starting QBs moves them to the other conference so they aren't shown up on a regular basis.
