RIP Coach Reeves. I love me some Dan Reeves and it’s a travesty he is not in the HOF. His resume speaks for itself. As a coach the one that got away was the Washington SB. That should have been his Lombardi as a HC.
Sad, sad day.

It’s always a sad day for me when a Broncos player or coach passes away. Dan Reeves was a big part of my childhood back in 80’s. He lead the Broncos to 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. That’s insanely hard to do. He also got the Falcons to the Super Bowl.
It seems like people pass away more during the holidays.
rest - https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/h...-reeves-impactWhile Gary Kubiak never was a member of Dan Reeves' coaching staff, he could easily be considered a member of Reeves' coaching tree.
For nearly a decade, Kubiak was a reserve quarterback behind John Elway and worked closely with Reeves, who was the head coach for the entirety of Kubiak's playing career. Kubiak learned a lot from Reeves during that run, and as Kubiak's playing career wound down, Reeves recognized his potential as a coach. While they never worked together in the coaching profession, Reeves still made a profound impact upon the future Super Bowl 50 winning coach by sparking his future in the profession.
After Reeves' passing on Saturday, Kubiak spoke with us about his time with Reeves, how the two stayed in contact over the years and the memories he'll cherish from their time together.
What kind of impact did Dan have on you?

rest - https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/t...es-dan-reeves-During John Beake's two decades in the Broncos' front office, he witnessed some of the most successful eras of the franchise, including an impressive run under Ring of Fame head coach Dan Reeves, who was hired in 1981. Beake witnessed that transition and worked closely with Reeves as he led the team in the 1980s and early 1990s.
After Reeves' passing on Saturday at the age of 77, Beake took some time on Saturday to reflect on the impact Reeves had on him and the Broncos organization:
When Dan was hired, he was considered one of the league's most-promising young coaches at the time, right?
"He was. Because he got a lot of good experience, when you're talking about the Cowboys, as a player and as a coach. The Cowboys really had great people down there, and he was a part of that. He learned from it, and he brought a lot of that up to the Denver Broncos."

It just pisses me off because a posthumous induction is not the same.
Reeves is only one of nine coaches with 200 wins, guided four teams to the Super Bowl as head coach and participated in nine Super Bowls as a player, coach or assistant (third-most).
He should have been a slam dunk. The HOF got Marv Levy and Bud Grant in while they were still living.
I liked his voice.
