This is tracking with me now. My bad, LD!

He did make those throws. But he still struggled and still looked and mostly played like a backup QB. That TD throw was nice. And that Albert O throw was also really nice.

But that doesn't outweigh the bad let alone the head-scratching plays he makes. When he's on the field everyone's holding their breath and waiting for the screw up. That's not the feeling you have when you got the guy. That's just a repeat of where he was last season. He has NFL talent. He doesn't appear to be a NFL starter.

Last season saw a new coaching staff, new system, 2 rookie receivers, no Sutton, and no training camp to work on anything. Like I said, this season should have been used to see what they had in Lock, so they could make a decision on where to go. He's young, he has talent, he needs playing time. Bridgewater is a veteran QB and that's the only caliber of veteran QB that's going to play for the Broncos, because ownership is mess and the coaching staff is either going to be brand new or the same old inept one. The Broncos ain't getting Rodgers.
You make some good points. Broncos brass is inept.

If your QB isn't reliable you have the wrong QB. He's a third year player making first year mistakes. Being able to occasionally make a nice play does and means little when it's commensurate with the screwups and the damage they do. Lock didn't have that fumble and miss those throws in a game where he went ham.
Bridgewater got us 3 miserable points in a half, but we lost the game because Lock?!

We can always play “what if” with respect to a normal season last year, better coaching staff, better scheme, etc. But ya gotta dance with the girl you brought.

But I’m guessing it’s fangios call on the Qb, as it should be. Paton did right by bringing legit “competition”. I’ m ok with passing on Qb in the draft. Fangio/shurmer would have Mac Jones looking like Sam darnold. Fangio needs to go, plain and simple.

You could, but when you compare him to his peers and the rookies that year, the what if game feels lackluster.

    I'm picturing you dancing now.
