I've bought a ton of shit from Walmart, because I'm a normal person who would rather spend $10 on an item than $12. Call me crazy. I also buy stuff from local small businesses when I can and when I know I'm not getting gouged. Do I love everything about Walmart? No, of course not. Show me a mega corporation that is perfect.

He's a grandson of one of the Walton heirs and he spends a lot of his time on non-profit stuff. Great guy. I find it funny how people assume all these people are just ruthless evil basterds who made all their money off the backs of the poor and downtrodden. Grow up and join us in the real world, not everything is a movie with villains and heroes.
I’m glad your wife had a great experience.

It has nothing to do with growing up. Walmart has the reputation through guilt of having shitty business practices over many decades. Perhaps this guy is different. That’s why I’m not sure what to think. I just want an owner that will put the best interests of the Broncos first.

I’m sure many have shopped there. I have. Closest one here is 30 minutes away, so I don’t go out of my way to go there. In Eagle River, there was one 1/4 mile away, and I’d go there sometimes especially for fishing gear.

I hope Broncos employees are renting their homes because they’re about to be replaced with 3 part-time employees with zero benefits.

If Smith or Walton does what’s best for the Broncos, I can overlook their personal choices.

It’s like the playoffs. Bronco fans are starving for being good again and making a run in the playoffs. We’re equally as hungry for a great owner to mirror Mr. Bowlen. That’s all we want.

I was just voicing my concerns of both Smith & Walton. And my concerns could be all for nothing.

I’m 1000% on-board with a Walton ownership, I don’t care about character flaws. I do love to troll those that allegedly do, though.

I pointed out Walton’s severe character flaws and not only did it fall on deaf ears it was met with bullshit antidotes about how great the Walton’s are.

But cheat on taxes? Not today Satan.

Shouldn’t really be an issue. There is Walton money in play with the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche, for example, and you don’t really ever hear it come up with those teams.

I was unaware, then again, I don’t follow those teams. Walton’s still have a reputation of shitty business practices. I’m willing to give benefit of the doubt, but I’m not going to ignore their past.

Yes, true. But he’s married to Ann Walton, and the Nuggets and Avalanche are held in her name. I just don’t think the Broncos would be tied to Wal-Mart if Rob Walton buys the team, unless maybe they put the name on the stadium or something. Not something that would be among my concerns.

Rob Walton was largely the beginning of the end for Walmart employees. Ann Walton is a cousin.
