I think it's worse.

At least in 2020, they had a good excuse with the pandemic.

This feels like the most depressing time in baseball since 1994-95. But there's still time to make this forgettable and just a footnote.

Now if only they can adopt the NFL's draftee contract structure. That would actually help small market teams where eliminating draft compensation is going to hurt them.
