was just getting ready to post this. . . great news! sutton's our most gifted receiver since DT, and he's still just scratching the surface. . . he's exactly the kind of talented young player you want to build around, and i love that paton is locking up core guys-- it's just the right way to do things, plain and simple. . . still need to get the QB-- but whoever he ends up being, he's going to have plenty of weapons to throw to. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
My guy!
Another huge contract, but hey, my favorite player is here to stay!
Does this not show everyone that we will be getting our qb this offseason!!? It is time!
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
I <3 Paton. He is going to turn this thing around!
I thought for sure we were going to have to tag Sutton then see if we were going to pay him later, but I like this trend of signing solid players before they get too pricey. Patrick and Sutton are a solid core, and once we fire everyone next season we might actually find ways to use them!
I think they both told Paton to start Drew Lock this year and next!
