Default Packers QB Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID-19, will not play in Week 9 vs. Chiefs

Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not play against the Chiefs in Week 9, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday.

The Packers quarterback is unvaccinated, hence the quick determination of his status, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

So not only isn't he vaccinated, he basically lied about it when asked, and lumped his teammates who weren't vaxed into the "other" bucket.

    Eff this dude.

Yeah, not a particularly good look. That said, him being an a-hole isn’t exactly new information.

He needs to be suspended by the NFL for blatantly breaking the covid protocols. Or else these protocols are useless.

More hatred and vitriol for Aaron Rodgers based on his vax status and his desire to keep his private medical information private than there was for Ruggs after he killed a person?

Wat? I literally said he should be in prison for a long time, and you high fived that post.

I don't think Rodgers should be in prison, but the NFL set rules for protocols for unvaccinated players, and he broke them. If the rules mean anything they need to be enforced.

Both are bad. They both misled the league to circumvent their rules.

I wasn't specifically referring to you and saying he should go to prison is different than hate and vitriol. It's just amusing to me the contrast of the two threads. This one is full of "what a scumbag" "eff that POS" type of comments while the Ruggs one was all about whether we should sign him when he gets out of prison. I just find it interesting.

To be fair I think that was just Jaded with his schtick saying we should sign him.

And I'd still sign Rodgers too fwiw.

Agreed. He needs to be gone the rest of the season. Sucks for the Packers org but the blame falls on Aaron himself and the punishment should be harsh and swift.
