I didn't have an issue with Vick getting another chance once he paid his debt to society. I'm going to go all Jaded here and say I don't think it's the NFL's job to be the moral police. I certainly support any team that chooses not to sign someone with a checkered past, but I don't know that they should necessarily be banned either.

Ultimately the fans can vote with their dollar if they'll support the league, and I don't think very many have left over guys like Vick being allowed to play.

I certainly disagree as Vick could have went on to do something else entirely but it is what it is.

Sure, but the NFL has just as much a right to employ him as any other menial job you think he should have taken.

This entire thing is a reflection of society. Some poor schlub in a Toyota Rav 4 dies because an elite little ***** in a Corvette thinks the rules don't apply to him. Riggs should have died and the innocent person in the Rav 4 should be home with his/her family.

Separate from the discussion of whether or not he should be allowed to play football again, he definitely deserves to go to prison for a very long time (assuming the details are as they seem) rendering the football part of it moot.

That's fair, but you kept watching the NFL after they signed Vick, which is why they probably don't care what people think of them letting ex-cons still play for them. Doesn't hurt their bottom line.

    Vick tried to redeem himself.

    I believe in redemption.

But that comes after you pay your debt to society.

Ruggs, if guilty, has to pay his.

His prison sentence was his penance, he served his debt to society.

    He has dogs now, too.
