Pass rusher rankings are roughly as follows:
    Hutch
    Thibs
    Karlaftis
    Jermaine Johnson
    Ojabo
    Drake Jackson
    Cam Thomas
    Nolan Smith

Other intriguing options are from Penn State and South Carolina

He's kinda special. Very dedicated, but also quite stubborn when it comes to his favorite Broncos

I have no issue with them in the 2nd. If we can't get that stud in round 1, grab an OT and one of your guys on day 2.

Harrison is mocking in the 2nd but I don’t think he goes that high, Gaye and Thomas are Day 3.

I've seen Thomas a bit higher. Kids from SDSU? Right?

That’s a different dude and he is way higher, I’m talking Isaiah (?) Thomas from Sooners.

    https://draftscout.com/dsprofile.php...DraftYear=2022

He’s a base 4-3 DE but maybe he could beef up and play in a 3-4. He’s better reducing inside in passing downs from what I’ve read.

Had we just taken Fields/Jones to stash this year we would have a QB prospect and be in a position to draft an elite pass rusher. I really do not like George Paton...

A number of teams passed on Fields that needed QB. Same w/ Jones. Fields has plenty of issues with his game. Always has. He's no sure thing. He maybe great. Will probably be good. Jones needs a system that fits him. NE gives him that. We clearly got a very good player at a position of importance.

The issue is roster construction. You do not build a team starting with CB when you have no QB. Same with drafting a WR or RB in the 1st round. Those are luxury picks.

To have had two guys slip to our spot and ignore the most important position on the field while knowing we don't have a 'guy' that is poor, poor roster construction.

What do we do now to fix it? FA? Take a QB from a weaker class out of need?

Waste of resources without a plan is not how you build a team. Teddy Bridgewater is not an answer.

WR w Jeudy I fully agree with. Clearly there was no consensus that those 2 QBs were any good. Makes no sense to take a flier on QBs you don't believe in

If you don’t have a QB you don’t matter, so the WR/CB debate is moot. Go with preference.

We will need hel upfront on both sides of the ball. OT is probably our first priority of the two. This draft is loaded with defensive blue chippers
